The departure port of Let’s Make the Mediterranean Blue is… Malta!

On the stage at the Malta National Aquarium, you will be welcome by an impressive crew including (more to come…):

Karmenu Vella, former member of the European Commission, in charge of Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries between 2014 and 2019

Alan Deidun, Ocean Ambassador for Malta and member of the EU Commission’s Ocean Mission Board, committed to Blue Schools and education

Steven Bajada, founding member of the Youth4Ocean Forum

Together with DG MARE, European Commission, the organisers of on-site, hybrid and online events that will take place from September 24th to September 27th, 2021 – as part of the EU4Ocean coalition event or events organised in parallel by sister initiatives – and a group of Maltese Youth, we will collectively build the puzzle of the Let’s Make the Mediterranean Blue and raise your appetite for participating in all events including events organised during the Ocean Literacy Mediterranean Festival on Med Coast Day.

The cherry on the cake? Surprise pledges for the #MakeEUBlue campaign!
