Our National Hub Malta attended on 1 August a presentation delivered on the Interreg Med MAESTRALE project. An interesting presentation on the Perspectives on Blue Energy Deployment in Malta Potentialities , Criticalities & Barriers for Use of Algae was delivered during the event.

The Italian National Hub at the WestMED hackathons Palermo

The Italian National Hub supported WestMED Central Team to ensure a qualified and numerous presence at the WestMED Hackatons, in Palermo on 14 May, contributing to the success of the initiative. As rapporteurs together with relevant moderators, the Italian National Hub also coordinated the networking tables for Sustainable Coastal and Maritime Tourism and for Clean Transport.

The Italian National Hub took the occasion of the first edition of the Croatian Conference on Blue Growth, held under the patronage of European Commission DG MARE on the 6-8 June in Rijeka – Croatia, to present the WestMED Initiative, to establish a strategic partnership between SEAFUTURE and ADRIA4BLUE, and to join some important seminars on the role of Maritime Clusters, and on Clean Transport and Alternative Fuels.
