The 5th edition of MEDAFinance, the regional Conference on Donor Funding, Banking and novel Financial Instruments will take place on 16th and 17th June 2019 in Cairo, Egypt, under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Moustafa Madbouly. It is organized by the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC) in cooperation with the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA) in the framework of the EBSOMED Project.

MEDAFinance 2019 will present and open new communication channels with donor and development agencies and International Financial Institutions (IFIs), maximizing the use of the available grants and funding instruments in the Mediterranean region. All major available instruments such as preferential lines of credits, soft loans, non-banking and novel financial instruments as well as grants and technical assistance available to Egyptian, Mediterranean and European companies will be presented with the objective to provide a comprehensive and updated list of funding opportunities that are available to Business Suport Organizations (BSOs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The event shall also equip the Mediterranean and European BSOs with the background of available programmes to enable them to draft international cooperation proposals. It will match-make BSOs with each other and with bilateral and multilateral donors and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs).
